Property History
The site was acquired in the early 1990s by the late architect Harry A. Denman. Harry acquired the site with the dream of developing Lake Mohave View Estates, a retirement/leisure community that took advantage of the amazing lake and mountain views along with close proximity to Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada and Kingman, Arizona.
Located off the beaten path, Harry envisioned community residents enjoying a very mild winter climate, starry nights, golf amenities, fishing and boating nearby, as well as Las Vegas style gaming in Searchlight, Nevada located across the Colorado River and up the hill approximately 13 miles.
Harry’s design of Lake Mohave View Estates included an 18 hole golf course surrounded by single-family homes with 5 floorplans ranging from 1,676 square feet to 2,296 square feet with two car garages and some plans including interior courtyards. (see floor plans below) Lake Mohave View Estates also included space for commercial and retail services, lodging, and facilities for the performing arts. (see development concept with commercial drawing below)
An early attempt at financing the project with foreign investment failed at the last minute and ground was never broken. Harry worked for many years hoping to bring Lake Mohave View Estates to fruition but time and failing health never allowed him to realize his dream. With Harry’s passing the dream is now available for a new visionary to step in and take advantage of this amazing parcel.
